COMMERCIAL PORTFOLIO

DENTAL

  • Cambridge Children's Dentistry

Cambridge Children’s Dentistry approached us to renovate their office in Cambridge Massachusetts. This unique project required a design that not only met the necessary operational requirements of a dental office but also took into consideration the specific needs of its primary clientele—children. As a pediatric dentistry practice, our goal was to create an environment that would alleviate the common anxieties associated with dental visits for young patients.

  • First Impression Dental

First Impression Dental enlisted our expertise to craft the design for their new office located in Arlington, MA. Designing a dental facility requires meticulous attention to specific considerations, including optimizing functionality for both staff and patients, incorporating essential operating equipment, and adhering to sterilization and cleanliness standards, all while creating a welcoming environment for patients. Cleanliness, functionality, and comfort were the guiding principles for design.

  • Scarborough Dental

We transformed the ground floor of an existing commercial building into a modern, patient-focused dental office. Our design approach began with a thorough analysis of the existing space, including site and building measurements, code review, and workflow planning to ensure optimal efficiency and comfort.

retail

  • Elevate SoHo

Elevate SoHo’s brand identity as a natural wellness provisioner of high-quality products was key to defining the retail experience. Upon entering the lobby, customers are met with a crisp and refined space that offers a controlled natural element within the green wall. Emerging onto the sales floor, they are then met with the warm glow of the globe pendants, illuminating an expertly curated selection of goods.

  • Good Grades

As a brand rooted in quality and education, Good Grades NY is committed to uplifting its community through the retail experience they seek to offer. The owners expressed a deep love for Queens from their childhood and a desire to help their neighbors make informed buying decisions. The brand is clean, yet approachable. The goal, therefore, was not to design a sterile clinical ambiance, but rather a space that was more appealing than the illicit marketplace of the past while maintaining the same love for the plant.

  • Bronx Joint

Located in the heart of hip-hop culture, The Bronx Joint represents the musical and artistic history of the borough while celebrating the diverse and thriving culture that lives on in Hunts Point. The owners wanted a place that not only provides safe and regulated cannabis, but also offers a canvas to display pride in the community.

office

  • Vaksam

For this private office renovation, our team delivered a comprehensive scope of services including program analysis, space planning, budgeting, project management, and full furniture/finishes selection and installation. The design establishes a minimalist backdrop that highlights the tenant’s artwork while introducing distinctive architectural features such as custom wood-paneled walls, a glass wall system, and continuous profiled wood trim.

  • Gene Peeks

Gene Peeks first approached APD in September 2016 when their start-up business began to outgrow the shared workspace they currently occupied. They had found a new space to rent in the historic Henderson Carriage Building in Porter Square, but needed some expert advice on how to make the space work best for them. Working in a limited budget existing workstations and partitions were reused as much as possible, and knowing that the space would not be used to full capacity at first, design recommendations were made to keep future expansion in mind.

  • DMC

Designed with an emphasis on collaboration and modern workflow dynamics, the DMC workplace showcases both industrial architecture and corporate design. The open-plan layout is structured to maximize natural light, utilizing floor-to-ceiling glass partitions that maintain visual connectivity while defining distinct team zones and private meeting spaces. Exposed structural ceilings and ductwork provide a loft-like aesthetic. The refined color palette features pops of vibrant accent tones that energize the environment.
