APD STUDIO

Terms of Use and End-User License Agreement.

About APD Studio

APD Studio is an internal business application operated by Anderson Porter Design (“APD,” “we,” or “us”). It supports project administration, billing planning, invoice visibility, time tracking, time-off administration, and financial reporting for APD's business operations.

APD Studio is under development and evaluation. Its current QuickBooks integration connects to sandbox companies. Access to a real QuickBooks company requires separate production configuration, authorization, and validation. Making these terms available does not mean that production access or a general release has been approved.

Permission to use the application

APD grants authorized employees and other specifically approved users a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable permission to use APD Studio for APD business purposes. Access is limited to the records and functions assigned to each user's role. No public registration, resale, or use for another business is authorized by these terms.

By using APD Studio, you agree to follow these terms and APD's applicable workplace, confidentiality, and information-security policies. If you do not agree, stop using the application and contact an APD administrator to discuss an alternative process.

User responsibilities

Use your own assigned account and keep your credentials confidential. Enter information carefully, review your entries, and promptly report errors or suspected unauthorized access. Access only information that you are authorized to use for your work.

Do not share accounts, bypass access restrictions, interfere with the application, introduce harmful software, or disclose confidential information without authorization. Do not enter Social Security numbers, full bank-account numbers, medical diagnoses, or other sensitive information that the workflow does not require.

Billing and financial information

Billing requests and meeting-log status colors are internal planning records. They do not themselves create, send, change, void, or pay a QuickBooks invoice.

Imported invoices and reports are snapshots and can become outdated after changes in QuickBooks. An invoice's zero balance can result from payments, credits, or retainer applications and does not by itself establish receipt of cash.

Project profit estimates may exclude overhead, unassigned costs, missing payroll, and unreconciled benefit charges. Users must review the identified sources and limitations. During development and pilot use, APD's established accounting, payroll, and employment records remain the reference for official decisions. Do not rely solely on APD Studio estimates for accounting entries, tax filings, payroll, or employment-benefit determinations.

QuickBooks and other services

An authorized administrator controls any QuickBooks connection. The current application reads accounting records and does not implement creating, editing, sending, or paying QuickBooks transactions. Intuit's Accounting authorization is broader than read access; the current restriction is implemented in APD Studio's functionality, rather than a separate read-only Intuit permission.

QuickBooks and other third-party services remain subject to their providers' terms. APD Studio is operated by APD and is not an Intuit product or a service operated on Intuit's behalf.

Confidentiality and privacy

Business, client, employee, payroll, and financial records accessed through the application must be treated as confidential and used only for authorized APD work. The APD Studio Privacy Policy explains the application's handling of information.

Availability and changes

The development application is provided as available. Features, calculations, and access may change, and interruptions or errors can occur. APD does not promise uninterrupted availability, complete data, or error-free calculations. APD may suspend or end access when necessary for business, security, or operational reasons, subject to applicable law.

These terms do not alter employment agreements or waive employee rights, benefits, or protections that cannot lawfully be waived. Third-party and open-source components retain their respective licenses and ownership rights.

APD may update these terms as the application develops. The current version will be identified by its last-updated date, and material changes will be communicated to affected users through APD's internal communication process.
