Anderson Porter Design was engaged by Laborie Medical Technologies to provide architectural services for a targeted interior retrofit of their manufacturing and warehouse facility in Westborough. The project focused on improving the functionality and organization of the building’s storage and warehouse areas through the design and permitting of new industrial racking systems. Working within the existing 24,500-square-foot facility, our team developed a strategic layout to maximize storage efficiency while ensuring compliance with applicable building and safety codes.

Our scope included the preparation of detailed construction documents, coordination with the contractor, and engagement with local authorities to support the permitting process. APD collaborated with the construction team to review schedules, refine technical details, and issue a comprehensive construction package for implementation. During construction, we provided administrative support and site observation, reviewing submittals and requests for information and assisting in resolving issues as they arose. The result was a carefully coordinated upgrade that improved warehouse operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
